
Fr. Gregory (Kevin) Long has served as the parish priest at St. Anthony's since 1999. He received his Master's of Divinity degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in 1992. While there he began an intensive program of study in the areas of liturgical practice, theological ethics and patristics. As a result of this study, Fr. Gregory converted to the Holy Orthodox faith in 1994. He participated in the Late Vocations courses offered by the Western PA diocese of the Orthodox Church in America, and eventually enrolled in the Saint Stephen's Course of Study program offered through the Antiochian House of Studies.
In 1997, Fr. Gregory was ordained to the diaconate. He served as a deacon at Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Pittsburgh (Oakland), PA. Fr. Gregory was ordained to the holy priesthood on January 10, 1999 (his name day) and served his first liturgy at Saint Anthony's on the feast-day of Saint Anthony, January 17.
In addition to his responsibilities as a parish priest, Fr. Gregory is a senior database analyst with an analytics firm in Upper St. Clair, PA.
Fr. Gregory is the husband of Nancy Hanna (Long) and father of Maria. They live in Mt. Lebanon, PA.
